Junior & Senior JAG students had the opportunity today to visit UNL for a tour of City Campus & East Campus. Students got to hear about what they should focus on now so they can be ready for life, whether that includes college or not, after high school! Some highlights from our trip are below! On our City Campus tour, we saw: • City Campus Union 🧋 • Love Library 📚 • Memorial Stadium 🏈 • The Rec Center 🏓 • Willa Cather Dining Hall - students were able to experience the student dining hall, which is buffet style and stocked with more food than you can imagine (I think this may have been their favorite part! 🍕🍟🍰)! After lunch, we traveled to East Campus, where we saw: • The Rec Center 🥅 • East Campus Union ☕️ • Dinsdale Family Learning Commons 📖 • The Dairy Store 🍦 • Arboretum 🌳 • Ruth Staples Child Development Lab 🧮 - fun fact, Ms. Mumm worked here before moving to Osceola! We explored the playground and saw a few spaces inside the building where children learn through play each and every day. It was a beautiful day to take these students to the big city to see what UNL is all about. We look forward to continuing our exploration of colleges around Nebraska!

Who wants to be a Bulldog Buddy?! 🧡🐾 We are excited to announce that we will be starting a mentoring program for our elementary students. This is an awesome opportunity for our high school students to see the importance of being a good role model and helping our younger Bulldogs grow! Please reach out to Mrs. Zelasney if you are interested in an application! 402-747-2091 or mzelasney@osceola.esu7.org GBO!

The votes are in! 🗳️ Kindergarten had fun celebrating Election Day by voting for some of our favorites! We found out most kindergarteners prefer fruit for snack, going down the slide at recess, and chocolate chip cookies! We also took a vote after hearing the story Duck for President with Mrs. Nicki, and Farmer Brown won by a single vote! Every vote counts! 🇺🇸🐥🧑‍🌾

Newsletter Updates Osceola Public Schools is examining the idea of moving the monthly newsletter to a digital edition, but we are looking for a little feedback from patrons that read the newsletter. We would like to share our reasoning why and ask for feedback from those that prefer the printed edition. 1. A digital edition would save the school district thousands of dollars to go toward student programs. 2. The digital edition would be available on our website or, if requested, via an email sent to patrons that wish to read it that way. We can also archive old editions. 3. A digital edition would be formatted for easy reading on a computer, tablet, or cell phone. 4. A digital edition would be available before a paper version would be. 5. Any errors can be corrected immediately, leading to more timely and accurate information. 6. A digital newsletter would allow us to reach a wider array of audience with it being on the website along with available QR codes on campus and around town so we can be out in front of people easier. For those that prefer a paper copy, we would be happy to continue that service for the time being, please sign up to continue having a paper copy mailed to you in the survey below. If you prefer the digital option for the reasons above, feel free to also fill out the survey below. https://forms.gle/QzSfFycd87gKkrHg8 or use QR code for survey

Kindergarten has been learning about flat and solid shapes in Math! We've reached my favorite part of the unit where we get to build flat and solid shapes using cubes, coffee stirrers, and PlayDoh! 🔵🔻🔸🟧
