Today Brenden Gabel, Bray Peterson, Jackson Beard and Kolton Barr competed in the annual TEAMS competition, consisting of a multiple choice exam of engineering questions, followed by a design/build challenge where they were given everyday objects (tape, straws, popsicle sticks, paper clips and paper) to create a structure meant to withstand wind (simulated by a fan). Results will be available at a later date, after all schools have competed.

JAG students Ashton (10), Dylan (10), Alex (10), and Savannah (12) attended a field trip to the Grand Island, NE Aviation Facility where they were able to:
》Tour the Aviation facility.
》Participate in the flight simulator.
》View, learn about, and go inside Chinooks.
》View, hold, and learn about different equipment.
》Hear from experts in various career fields, understanding their pathways and advancements to obtaining their current position.
This field trip gave students an opportunity to job shadow a military recruiter and learn about their day to day life. This visit was an invaluable experience, giving insight and exposure to students looking to join the military in any capacity. We look forward to continued partnership with the U.S Army National Guard!
